Combe Martin - rock pools - Hangmans Hill - Pack O' Cards - Exmoor - coastal scenery - caravan park

Just 2.5 miles to the outstanding coastal scenery at Combe Martin

Running through a beautiful and fertile valley on the Western edge of Exmoor, Combe Martin lies at the centre of some of the most outstanding coastal scenery in the area. Spectacular views across the bay to the dramatic headlands beyond and a peaceful cove with boats moored in the harbour have changed little over time. The main street winds along the valley, or Combe, for over two miles and is reputedly one of the longest in the country.

One of the most famous landmarks is the Pack O' Cards public house, built in the 17th century from the winnings of a card game. The house was built to represent a pack of cards and many features throughout the building represent the different suits and picture cards. Footpaths scatter the surrounding countryside, making it ideal for walkers wishing to take advantage of the stunning views along the coastal footpath or over the heather and bracken of Exmoor. A number of small secluded bays within a short walk of the village provide ideal sunbathing spots and the numerous rock pools provide hours of fun for children
